Police arrested an Australian man for his involvement within the brawl that broke out between international employees and overseas clients at Atlas Restaurant in the Patong area of Phuket in southern Thailand early on Monday morning, reports the Phuket Express.
Before arrested 34 yr outdated “Karen” of Australian nationality who admitted to beginning the battle by throwing a bottle at the foreign employees – Mohammad Jehad Mohammad Alomari from Jordan, Abderahman Mohammad El Fawal from Egypt and Wai Lu Soe from Myanmar.
Karen stated he threw the bottle out of anger after being advised to attend for his meals, just because the foreign employees testified to police when they arrived on the restaurant. The rowdy Aussie and his four pals had already fled the scene.
The accused admitted to beginning the struggle but blamed his violent behaviour on alcohol. He says it was out of character for him.
The overseas staff sat down with Karen and either side apologised to every other. However, Patong Police said everyone involved would face criminal costs referring to fighting and presumably a yellow and even purple card under Phuket Police’s new two-strike system for unruly foreigners.

Partygoers notified Patong Police Station that a group of international tourists and a gaggle of international restaurant employees have been attacking one another with chairs at Atlas Restaurant on Soi Sansabai.
By the time police arrived, the 5 tourists had dispersed, however police received to pay attention to the staff’s model of occasions.
Police spoke to three overseas employees members at Atlas restaurant involved in the brawl together with Mohammad Jehad Mohammad Alomari of Jordanian nationality, Abderahman Mohammad El Fawal of Egyptian nationality and Wai Lu Soe of Burmese nationality.
The staff said that a group of 5 drunk overseas vacationers got here to the restaurant and tried to order food and mentioned they needed the food “quickly.”
According to the employees, the vacationers turned displeased when they have been informed they needed to wait in the queue like everybody else.
The vacationers hurled verbal abuse and then threw a water bottle on the employees, said the employees, resulting in an “altercation” which led to a physical battle and chair bashing between the 2 parties. After the fight, the tourists dispersed before police arrived at the scene, stated the staff.
In a brief clip circulating on-line, one man is pictured violently attacking one other with a metal pole. It’s not clear if he is a employees member or a tourist, or what happened in the moments prior.
Police took photographs at the scene to report the incident and are now trying to locate the drunk overseas vacationers within the battle to enable them to interrogate everyone involved and find out the facts.
As of yet, not one of the five international tourists concerned within the brawl have reported something to the police..
