After moving into new business premises back 2018 and launching Axapta in 2019, WIKA Mexico is going for a further step this season: The calibration laboratory for pressure is being commissioned in accordance with Mexican standard NMX-EC-17025-IMNC-2018/ ISO/IEC 17025 (2017).
The brand new calibration system functioning
A new member of staff was recruited last August to take care of the certification process and operation of the laboratory. This April, WIKA Mexico was accredited by the Mexican certification company EMA. During the preparatory phase, typical tasks were processed, including a laboratory ring comparison and internal audits. The first accreditation audit was completed without any issues being raised.
The range of services includes the calibration of process pressure gauges, and of simple reference devices. Weird which were previously outsourced are now provided in-house. This speeds up that service for customers, and WIKA is winning more orders. In Waste , the number of calibration services is to be extended to add higher-end pressure calibrations, and temperature will undoubtedly be introduced in the laboratory as a new measurand.
