A analysis group at Mahidol University has unveiled a novel plant-based protein supplement geared toward bolstering the protein consumption of the aged. The complement, a foam protein derived from Thailand’s acclaimed Hom Mali rice, is designed for effortless consumption.
Warangkana Srichamnong, assistant director of the Institute of Nutrition and spearhead of the foam protein challenge, defined the simplicity of its use.

Warangkana revealed that the prototype will undergo further large-scale trials before the technology is handed over to food producers within the northeast or the Central Plains, the first rice cultivation areas within the country, reported Bangkok Post.
Warangkana acknowledged that previous research by the institute confirmed older adults’ protein consumption is typically 8 to 10 grammes lower than the instructed 1 gramme to 1.2 grammes per kilogramme of physique weight. To augment their protein consumption, seniors are inspired to consume one to 2 a hundred millilitre bottles of the froth protein daily.
