Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour point depressant pumps which are 18m in length and the opposite four are methanol lift pumps which are 10m lengthy.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors which were designed and built alongside the size of the pumps to watch the temperature of every bearing individually.
The 18m long pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches every pump to its tank throughout set up ensuring that because the pump is lowered into the tank it stays perfectly aligned, lowering vibration and wear throughout operation.
Once assembled, the pumps were independently witness examined and certified by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps have been then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore the place the FPSO (floating production storage and offloading unit) is being constructed.
The pump supply and installation needed to align with the FPSO build schedule. Because of the size of the pumps, they needed to be put in into the vessel’s tanks through the deck earlier than one other deck above the pumps might be built. The first phase was accomplished efficiently over the Christmas interval with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning staff supporting the customer with the set up and commissioning.
The FPSO shall be positioned within the KG-DWN 98/2 subject, approximately 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to provide up to ninety 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It shall be equipped to deal with the monsoon circumstances prevalent on the field.
