Atlas Copco has agreed to buy Lewa GmbH and Geveke BV and their subsidiaries from Japan’s Nikkiso Co Ltd in a €670 million deal.
Founded in 1952, Germany’s Lewa manufactures diaphragm metering pumps, process pumps and complete metering techniques. The company employs around 1200 people and had 2021 revenues of €233 million.
“Lewa has a long custom of supporting prospects and creating leading industrial circulate know-how for efficient, precise and protected dealing with of fluids,” stated Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area. “Through this acquisition we are constructing our presence and technology offering within optimistic displacement pumps.”
Geveke, which was based in 1874, distributes compressors and engineers superior and complicated course of pump installations. The firm is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, has 173 workers and had revenues of approximately €61 million in 2021.
“Geveke has sturdy engineering capability, offering full industrial pump solutions from idea to commissioning,” said Atlas Copco’s Walker.
The acquisition is predicted to be completed through the second quarter 2022.
The main part of the acquired businesses may have its base in the Power and Flow division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area and a smaller half will join the Service division within Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique Business Area.
