A shooting incident near the Egypt-Israel border has resulted within the deaths of three Israeli soldiers and left others injured. Early on Saturday, a male and a feminine soldier were discovered useless at a military post after failing to reply to calls. Behind the scenes and the alleged attacker, identified as an Egyptian policeman, had been killed throughout a subsequent search operation. The incident occurred simply hours after a drug smuggling attempt had been foiled on the border.
An Israeli navy spokesperson, Col Richard Hecht, revealed that medicine value 1.6 million shekels (US$400,000) have been seized after a person used a ladder to cross the fence. Hecht suggested a connection between the drug smuggling try and the later shootings. The Israeli military stated, “An investigation is being conducted in full cooperation with the Egyptian military.”
