A fraudulent employment agent lured almost 30 Thais with attractive job opportunities on Australian cattle farms, duping them out of tens of hundreds of thousands of baht. The grievance in opposition to Watsan (whose final name is withheld) was lodged yesterday by sixty one 12 months outdated Dathika, and virtually 30 different people who fell prey to the scheme. They met with Pol. Lt. Col. Spoiler , head of the investigating unit at Bangkok’s Crime Suppression Division (CSD), alleging that Watsan promised them a lucrative employment opportunity in Australia.
According to Dathika, Watsan boasted through the Covid-19 pandemic that he owned massive cattle and sheep farms in Australia and required a major variety of Thai workers for high-paying positions. However, he demanded an upfront payment of 55,000 baht per applicant. Dathika added that Watsan is well-known throughout the Thai neighborhood in Australia and falsely claimed to come from a prestigious household, making him appear reliable.
Hundreds of people believed his story and paid the fees, amassing a worth of tens of hundreds of thousands of baht. However, when Watsan disappeared without fulfilling his guarantees, citing various issues, it grew to become evident that the victims had been deceived. This revelation prompted the group to file a criticism.
