An sincere Thai couple discovered a bag with 100,000 baht inside in front of a shopping mall in the central province of Ratchaburi and notified the police to enable them to search for its owner.
Eighteen 12 months previous Kittisak “Zen” Thaweechokhirun, and his 18 yr previous girlfriend, Potchathawat “Mali” Sabumuang, final night time reported the cash-filled bag they found at a shopping center to officers at Meaung Ratchaburi Police Station.
Mali advised police that they arrived at the shopping mall at 2.30pm to look at a movie. After the movie date, they went to the purchasing mall’s meals courtroom and spotted the bag on a chair.
Mali notified a shopping mall staff member who opened the bag and discovered the massive sum of money inside. The mall made an announcement asking for the owner of the bag to come back forward, but no one claimed it.
The couple waited at the shopping center till 5.30pm in the hope that the owner would come back for the bag, but no one did. So, they reported it to the police. Officers then rushed to the mall to choose up the bag.
Mali revealed the explanation why she didn’t take the cash. She said…
“That cash isn’t mine. Its owner have to be in hassle now. My parents at all times taught me not to take things that don’t belong to me. I hope others will do the same.”
Officers confirmed that the bag contained a hundred,000 baht and stated that they might maintain the bag in safekeeping till its rightful proprietor was identified.
