The Thai Meteorological Department today issued a thunderstorm warning for forty five provinces, including 60% of Bangkok. The climate system is sweeping throughout the northern and northeastern regions, heading in course of a low-pressure space over the Bay of Bengal, while a moderately sturdy southwestern monsoon is blowing throughout the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. This is causing thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in some parts of the northern, northeastern, jap, and western southern areas.
Residents within the affected areas are warned of potential dangers from heavy to very heavy rainfall and accumulated rainfall, which might result in sudden flooding and flash floods. This is especially true for mountainous areas close to waterways and low-lying areas. Extra warning is suggested when travelling through areas with thunderstorms.
In the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, the wind is moderately robust, causing sea waves to succeed in 2 to three metres excessive. In thunderstorm areas, the waves can exceed three metres. In the decrease Andaman Sea, wave top is between 1 to 2 metres. In thunderstorm areas, waves can exceed 2 metres. Boaters within the affected areas are suggested to navigate with caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms. Small boats in the higher Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand must also remain ashore.
Typhoon ‘Saola’ is at present in the Pacific Ocean, or northeast of the Philippines, and is expected to move into the higher South China Sea between August 30 to September 1. It will then transfer as much as the southeastern coast of China from September 2 to 4. This storm is not going to directly affect Thailand’s climate, but these planning to journey to the affected areas should check the weather forecast earlier than their journey.

The lowest temperature is between 23-26 levels Celsius, the highest temperature is between 32-36 degrees Celsius, and the wind velocity is 10-25 kilometres per hour from the southwest.
Central region: 40% of the realm will experience thunderstorms, mainly in Uthai Thani, Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Saraburi, Kanchanaburi, and Ratchaburi. The lowest temperature is between 24-26 levels Celsius, the best temperature is between 34-36 levels Celsius, and the wind velocity is 10-25 kilometres per hour from the southwest.
Eastern region: 40% of the realm will experience thunderstorms, with heavy rainfall in some areas, mainly in Chanthaburi and Trat. The lowest temperature is between 25-28 levels Celsius, the best temperature is between 32-35 degrees Celsius, and the wind pace is 20-40 kilometres per hour from the southwest. The sea has waves of 2 to three metres high, and in thunderstorm areas, waves can exceed 3 metres.
Southern area (east coast): 40% of the area will experience thunderstorms, primarily in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Yala, and Narathiwat. The lowest temperature is between 23-26 degrees Celsius, and the very best temperature is between 34-36 degrees Celsius. From Surat Thani onwards, the wind speed is 20-35 kilometres per hour from the southwest. The sea has waves of about 2 metres, and in thunderstorm areas, waves can exceed two metres. From Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards, the wind speed is 15-30 kilometres per hour from the southwest. The sea has waves of about 1 metre, and in thunderstorm areas, waves can attain 1 to 2 metres.
